For you, Love.

Good morning, friends!

Valentines Day is right around the corner and that means love is in the air ;)

That means its time to whip up some quick Valentine's projects! Quick because its now less than a month away.

EEEK!

On top of it just being Valentines day, it's also my son's GOLDEN birthday. How in the heck did he get so old. 14!

While I have a mini crisis, lets talk Try Stampin' on Tuesday's new Tic Tac Toe Challenge!

I decided to go diagonal on the tic tac toe board:

Have you ever made an eclipse card? They can be as easy or hard as you want to make them. I chose the easy route, trying to stay as simplistic as I could and really like how it turned out. My original plan was to have a banner on the bottom but didn't have a sentiment suitable for what I had in mind.

The sentiment is from the old trusty "Thoughtful Branches" which was a limited supply stamp available a few years ago.

I'm still sad it never made it into a catalog. Le sighhhhh.

I hope to see you playing along with the challenge. Remember, you can play along in the TSOT Facebook Group or on the Blog

Have a stamptastic day!

Seeing Pink for TSOT

Good morning friends!

So turns up, today is NOT Monday. It is actually Tuesday and totally spaced posting this entry.

I hope you all had a relaxing Memorial Day. As a Veteran the day means a lot to me, as I've seen so many pass before me. Thank you to those who paid the ultimate price, it's because of them that we are able to enjoy so many freedoms today.

Before it's too late, here is my design team card for this week's Try Stampin' on Tuesday challenge! We had a fun sketch that also had the add-on of a monochromatic theme! It just so happened that I got fun new ombre papers from the NEW SU catalog!

I used the new Eastern Medallions suite and it is really as beautiful as all of the pictures show. I must admit, I jumped on the train to order when it first came out, but was intimidated to use the dies. Now I regret doing so! They are SO beautifully detailed and have TONS of combinations. I used them with the new Lovely Words Thinlets.

I used NEW 2017-19 In Color Berry Burst and the matching DSP from the Color Theory Suite. The friend sentiment is actually the back side of the ombre paper and has this cracked paint look to it!  Its hard to see in the pictures, but there is Wink of Stella behind the die cuts and sponged onto the layers of cuts and added some of the new glimmer enamel dots in coordinating shades as well.

I hope you are able to play along with this week's challenge! Be sure to add your entry to the Facebook group or to the TSOT page with the Linky. It can be as simple or as detailed as your creative mind envisions it!

Thanks for stopping by and apologies for the late posting!

Have a stamptastic day!!

Project Life for TSOT!

Good morning!

This week's blog theme should be titled "All the things I should have purchased before they hit the retirement list."

I think it's pretty appropriate. haha.

I've watched TONS of gorgeous creations made with the Hello Lovely Project Life by Stampin' Up! kit, but thought "nah- I don't need that. I have TONS of other PL kits that are collecting dust."

Thats until they hit the retirement list and have discounted prices. Cha-ching. So, here I am again with another late-to-the-party creation!

This week at Try Stampin' on Tuesday we have a really fun sketch layout that I think everyone will enjoy! It's easy enough that a simple card will look great and leaves enough to the imagination that someone who likes to spend a lot more time than I do on cards will enjoy.

Here's my take:

Here's the sketch: (In reverse order because blogger likes to make the first picture ginormous)

Fun right? Come play along! We like to hang out on Facebook and on our TSOT blog

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope we see your awesome project! Have a stamptastic day!!

TSOT Party Dinos!

Good morning!

I'm back at it after a short break from Try Stamping on Tuesday. Kids sports travel is killing us.  We are also getting out home ready to sell (cry!!! Anyone interested in moving to Alaska? I got a house for you!)

So This week for TSOT, we have a "Trio of Words theme" and a fun sketch layout! I figured this dino set needed some attention, and so far its been used on 2 or 3 projects now! Since it is a photopolymer set, it is easy to line up the bones to make these guys look like x-rays! I added a hat and a pompom to the Brontosaurus and now we have a party!

Be sure to join us HERE!
I joined the 2015-17 In-Color bandwagon late, so now I'm trying to make up for it. I was going to stamp-off the images, but I liked the saturation and kept it. This is a fun card for a boy or girl or even adult.

What are you going to miss most from the retiring catalog? I think I'm going to miss the punches that are returning and the Urban Underground suite. That one is PERFECT for the guys! Remember if you are wanting some items, be sure to order now as they are selling out fast!

Feeling Sweet for TSOT

Good morning, friends!

I apologize for being away so long. I was having some issues with blogger and then the weeks just slipped by! We are in the thicks of wrestling season over here and it is consuming my weekends.

Sigh...and repeat until May.

Then we are moving. So throw all that goes with a cross-country move in the mix. Haha.

We're just getting started, lol.

Anyway, you're here for some delightful creations, and I have a fun one to share today from Try Stampin' on Tuesday!

Remember this paper from waaaaaaaayyy long ago? I had a scrap and thought it would be cute with a swirly bird wreath. The side with the trees is actually the other side of the polka dot side. Easy right? My favorite part of our DSP collections. For the life of me I can't remember what this paper pack is called, eek! Something bird?

Annnnyways, this is a great layout! So play along with us!! Just look at how sweet this layout is!

Okay friends, I'll see you soon. Hopefully it won't be as long.

Let's Celebrater!

Good morning!

It's been a busy week ever here, wrestling tournaments, meetings, snow, oh my! Now, a deep freeze--apparently colder than -40F (which is the same as -40C if you didn't know) is coming starting tomorrow night. Brr...

Glad to finally relax a little this week. Until it gets all booked up! haha.

Today at Try Stampin' On Tuesday we have a great challenge for you to play along with! By great I mean it'll make you want to bust out 4 or more cards using the sketch! Neat-o right?

Here's the sketch!

Here's my take(s!):
Take 1: Celebrater

If you look closely, you'll see what I mean about 'celebrater' haha. I thought I would stamp off the image, but forgot this embossing folder debosses, and well not it looks like I added an 'r' on the end. I think it's funny, so it's staying! Isn't this embossing folder amazing?

Trying to show the Wink of Stella accents!

Take 2: Because scraps! I already had the half sheet of Peekaboo Peach, so why not make another card? Flipped the papers around and added the Avant Garden stamp set in the coordinating in-colors and its a totally different card! The Work of Art stamp set was used to highlight the letters.

Take 3: Monochromatic in Sweet Sugar Plum! I'm on a roll now! Using the in-color envelope papers on this one, I stamped the Celebrate and created a simple yet beautiful card.

Take 4: A slightly different take! I actually made this kind of from memory and a few days before I made the other ones. The deer are from In the Meadow and they were actually recycled from a project long ago that never came to be and have been sitting tucked in a picture from on my desk. I broke out the Going Place paper stack (retired) and punched out the sentiment from Designer Tin of Cards and Banner and done! These adorable deer just needed the perfect project to be added to!

I hope you enjoyed all of these projects. It's amazing what a great layout can do for your creativity! Thanks for stopping by today and have a stamptastic day!
