Small Packages

Good morning friends!

Good things come in small packages.

And are also a pain in the ass. (Pardon my language!)

I decided to take on the Watercooler Wednesday box challenge they had going this week. Stumped for ideas, I went to Pinterest and found this cute idea! She had a variety of items, but thought " I could whip something up with my pillow box die" and be done rather quickly.

Nah.

Strangely enough, the pillow box was the most difficult part. Don't ask me why. Some days I have it, other days not so much.

The handle for the box was made from a small scrap of Pool Party which I folded in half and used a circle framelet die to round the edge. (Jayme, why would you put a handle on a tiny box? You got me--no idea! Cuteness. That matters!) I used the word window punch for the handle hole.

I then used the new Swirly Bird bundle for the swirl in Coastal Cabana an the little Real Red Flowers brushed with Wink of Stella. Fresh Prints DSP paper stack (ret) is what I used on the pillow box and card. The twines on the pillow box are from Target and the hardware store :)

Along with the box, I made a cute card inspired by Jennifer McGuire. Lately she's been doing a lot of partial die cuts on her cards and it never dawned on me that you could do such a thing! It came out pretty cute!! With some time, I could perfect this method. The Hello stamp from Sale-a-bration is stamped twice using my MISTI and then clear embossed for a nice sheen. I also used the botanical garden vellum stack from Sale-a-bration for the background of the card.

Thanks for stopping by and have a stamptastic day!!

  3. Hi Jayme, for all the trouble you say the pillow box gave you, it turned out beautifully. What a nice card and box set you've created. The swirly loops certainly add some fun to the box. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.
