Day Late, dollar short

Let me count the ways I've been slacking lately.

1. Posting regularly on my blog.

Literally the worst at this lately.  <-- p="">Man! Any Tips? I could always pre-schedule, but I feel like the posts would be mundane? I dunno.

Now that we have that cleared up. And hopefully I'll get this gravy train rolling again, I'll talk about my Try Stampin' On Tuesday Design Team card!

Here's the sketch!

I'm not going to lie, this one made me think! Hard! Even though I had a general idea in mind, I totally switched it up when it came to execution. It was a great sketch to to really grow and learn with!

Will you join us this week at Try Stampin' on Tuesday? Can't wait to see your creations!!

Thanks for stopping in on my late post, hope you have a stamptastic day and be sure to check the Stampin' Up! retirement list Here!

Celebrate Everything

Good evening! This morning I was itching to do a tiny bit of stamping, so I broke out the "Celebrate Everything" stamp set that came with the April Paper Pumpkin kit.

HOW STINKING CUTE IS THIS SET?!?!

If you haven't seen it, it seriously is adorable. If you don't subscribe to paper pumpkin take a minute to scold yourself. Then go here: https://mypaperpumpkin.com?demoid=2152082 If you want this particular set you'd need to subscribe then see if they have it available. eek!

Anyway, I'm forever inspired by Jennifer McGuire Ink and this was a little ode to her skills. (She probably would've done something way cuter, but whatever.) I chose softer colors than I typically go with, and boy does it pop! I should use the Subtles color family more often!

I really enjoy the simplicity of these cards. They are stunning but really simple in execution. I think the black really pops against the subtle tones and just seem to fit the trend of card making right now (this week, haha!)

What do you think? Do you like clean and simple cards or do they make you crazy?

It's that time of year again! Sad face!! SO many things retiring! BUT--> You will love the new catalog. See the list here.

LOVE LOVE LOVE

I'm telling ya! It's ah-mazing!

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you have a stamptastic day!!

Butterfly Birthday

Good afternoon!

I apologize for being so inconsistent with my blogging as of late. The weather is nice and we've been enjoying it while we can!

After making some thank you cards for a friend of mine, her daughter requested that I make her birthday invitations for her. I was really excited to take on this little task!!

She requested "Robins Egg Blue and Butterflies" and said go to town!

"You're Invited" stamp by Recollections, non SU.

So I did! I decided a gatefold card featuring the big butterflies would make for a unique and pretty invitation.

I got to bust out my beautiful butterflies Bigz die, for the first time ever! (Crazy, I know!) and the Beautiful Wings embosslits die. Thank goodness for the new Curvy Corner Trio Punch makes the perfect little slits for attaching a tie for closure. SO glad I got that guy. You can't see it in the picture, but I also used the scalloped edge of that same punch for the white panel on the inside.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Have a stamptastic day!!

Color Blocking

Good afternoon!

Today I was thinking about what to do for the Sunday Stamps challenge and found some great inspiration on pinterest, but not sold on any style. After mulling the idea over, I thought to search my stash for some solid rubber pieces left from stamps.

Then I found I typically throw those all away.

I went on my search anyway and discovered I had a few sets in my sell pile that had solid square insides that were already cut for removal. SCORE!

I went to town! I already had the rainbow theme in mind from the challenge, so I decided to play around and see what stuck.

Here's what I came up with:

Not in the link below, this card uses Perfect Pairings, a 2016 Sale-a-bration set.
Inks are Crisp Cantaloupe and Strawberry Slush, Paper is Crisp Cantaloupe.

Fun, right? I love when an idea works the way I had hoped! Sometimes they go horribly wrong, horribly!

Thanks for stopping by today!! I hope you have a stamptastic day!!
