Quick Tip Tuesday!

Good morning!

That couldn't have worked out any better! So on my Facebook  page I shared a pinterest tip that I found to work magically!

My son went to wrestling camp earlier this summer and had to wear a name tag. Long story short, said name tag didn't get removed and went through the wash, leaving a sticky residue behind.

It sat in a corner of his room. Lonely, sad, and neglected because I didn't know how to fix it.

Today, while in his room, I had it! I was going to fix this perfectly good shirt so he can continue to wear it. I knew goo gone or essential oils would take the residue off, but was afraid of the oil stain it could leave behind. So I grabbed my little adhesive remover cube and went to work, and it removed most of the residue, but not all of it.

Enter Pinterest and Duct Tape.

It suggested just to place the duct tape over the adhesive spot, rub on it, then lift off. (Ladies, think of waxing)

IT WORKED! It also worked on my adhesive remover. Now she is as good as new and in the wash!

Duct Tape is the greatest invention ever. Hands down.

Hope that was helpful!!

A wedding CASE

Good morning!

Last weekend I was invited to a fellow derby sister's wedding and of course I had to handmade a card for the happy couple! I headed to pinterest for some inspiration.

This card was CASE'd from Claire Daly and her's was just absolutely gorgeous! Since I didn't have the same supplies she had, I replicated using similar products. I think mine came out nicely and pretty pleased with it. The vellum is embossed with gold stars, since I didn't have the Gold Fancy Designer Vellum that SU offers. I also used the champagne glass glitter on gold cardstock in place of the gold glimmer paper. The heart is also sponged DSP in Primrose Petals. I like the versatility of some of our DSP to really make it your own!

Supplies (All SU unless otherwise noted)
Stamps: Happy Happenings, Countless Sayings 1 photopolymer stamps.
Paper: Costal Cabana (ret), Pink Pirouette (ret), Modern Medley DSP (ret), Very Vanilla, Vellum.
Ink: Stazon Black, Primrose Petals, Martha Stewart metallic gold ink.
Accessories: Chalk Talk framelet, Hexagon embossing folder, Champagne glitter, banner punch, gold sequens, metallic gold thread, large delicate doily thinlet, Chalk Talk framelits, gold embossing powder.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a stamptastic day!

When I saw this sketch, I was feeling like I needed to go BOLD! I went in with the intention of making this a super bright colored card, and it came out pretty well!

Here's my take:

I've had this stamp set literally FOREVER. It was fun to bust it out and do a little bit of coloring.

Will you join us? There's just something about being able to make Christmas Cards all year that is fun. Even when you live in the North Pole (Alaska) and are sick of Christmas by July. Although, I always wave to the GIANT Santa when I drive by.

With All My Heart: Freshly Made Sketches 198

Good morning!!

The kiddos were doing a good job playing and entertaining themselves this morning, so I was able to sneak away to play along with the crew at Freshly Made Sketches!

I saw this sketch the other day and KNEW I had to play along!!

I LOVE clean cards! They make my heart happy!

This card was not my intended outcome. I was in the mood to make a back to school card since it's that time of year. Not being able to settle on a school stamp, I decided this Heidi Swapp Stamp and stencil was going to be perfect! The sentiment is embossed, and even with a heavy coating of the embossing buddy, the powder still stick to everything. I like the messy embossing look though!

After that, it call just fell together!

Supplies (All SU unless otherwise noted):
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Fresh Prints DSP Pool Party (ret)
Stamps: Heidi Swapp stencil and stamp set
Ink: Versa Mark, Basic Black, Martha Stewart Metallic Gold.
Accessories: Honey Comb embossing folder, Gold Sequens, Basic Black embossing powder, Melon Mambo striped grosgrain ribbon (ret), embossing buddy.

Have a stamptastic Sunday!!!

TTS48!! Summer Lovin' for Christmas

Good morning!!

If you've been following me on Facebook, you'll know that I've been fighting with making some tags for a swap group that I'm in. After LOTS of of die cutting, I finished and will be posting them soon! I have a very difficult time as of late with lots of layers. If I can make something simple, while saving paper, I'm going to do it.

In all reality, I should not be worrying about saving paper. I'm pretty sure I have more than enough to wrap all of our houses in it. Thats for another day....

Anyway....... On to the original post topic. Tis The Season Stamping #48! This week was a color challenge, and at first I was like..."Hmm...?"

Artichoke, Daffodil, Strawberry and Pool

We do have a few challenge guidelines* we'd like to ask you to follow:

  • Your project must be a new Christmas project created for this challenge.
  • You may use any brand of product that you have in your stash.
  • If you combine challenges please limit it to no more then 4 including ours.

The Challenge is open until Aug.18th  @ 12pm EST. Check out what the Design Team created below to get you started... We can't wait to see what you create!

And here is my take:

I LOVED this color combo!!!

I got the inspiration for the layout at Try Stamping on Tuesday's blog, but knew I wanted to use this cute little stamp set. I love it's clean simplicity! You can't see it in the picture, but I sprayed the heck out of this card (and various other projects) with Smooch Spritz! It's been my obsession lately!

Supplies (SU unless otherwise noted):
Paper: Whisper White
Inks: Pool Party, Strawberry Slush (ret), Always Artichoke (ret), Daffodil Delight
Stamps: Ornament Keepsakes (Ret), Petite Pairs.
Accessories: Holiday Ornaments framelits (Ret), Stylish Stripes embossing folder, Bitty Banner framelits, Smooch Spritz  (ret)

Have a stamptastic day!!
